In the context of the energy transition, carbon-free and climate-neutral fuels are becoming increasingly important, requiring the development of new, highly efficient combustion processes. At the same time, the complexity of the challenges and the development effort are increasing significantly, driven in particular by the growing relevance of retrofit solutions, dual-fuel concepts and the integration into existing infrastructures as well as operating environments. As a result, the world of large bore engines is becoming increasingly \u201ccolorful\u201d and diverse, reflecting the wide range of requirements they must meet.
