2019 Bauhaus anniversary in Dessau
The Bauhaus will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2019. Experience the industrial age of the 1920s in Dessau.
Dessau-Roßlau is one of three major centres of Saxony-Anhalt and the main economic and service focus of a unique impulse area with a strong identity.
This is not just the origin of Martin Luther’s reformation movement and the domain of Hugo Junkers, who developed the first all-metal aeroplane and other ground-breaking discoveries, but an evolved economic area with highly developed leading and future industries – from classic metalwork to modern bio-pharmaceutical production.
Under the motto “The Fascination of Change”, Dessau-Roßlau will combine positive economic development and future-oriented innovations with creative city design processes, which will once again change the world from the Bauhaus city.
