Bauhaus anniversary 2019 in Dessau
In 2019, the Bauhaus celebrates its 100th anniversary. Experience the industrial modernism of the 1920s in Dessau.
Dessau-Roßlau is one of the three regional centers of Saxony-Anhalt and the economic and service hub of a unique and identity-defining impulse region.
This is not only the starting point of the Reformation movement around Martin Luther and the workplace of Hugo Junkers, who developed the first all-metal airplane and other groundbreaking inventions here, but also an established economic area with distinctive leading and future-oriented industries – from classic metal construction to modern biopharmaceutical production.
Under the motto “Fascination of Change”, Dessau-Roßlau will combine positive economic development and promising innovations with creative urban design processes that will once again change the world from the Bauhaus city.
