An important area of activity for WTZ Roßlau is carrying out research into the use of renewable energy sources, such as the generation of electricity from hydrogen obtained from excess wind and solar energy to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and increasing energy efficiency. The goal of the activities in this area is to develop improved combustion procedures for gas and diesel engines and make efficient use of waste heat utilisation methods in cogeneration units, for example.
