GENERAL NOTES CONCERNING MEASURING AND TESTING TECHNOLOGY
The WTZ Roßlau measuring and testing technology mainly deals with the further development of measuring methods and systems such as the calibration, evaluation and processing of measurement signals. This is precisely why WTZ Roßlau invests in state-of-the-art measurement systems for every single one of its engine test stands. New combustion and injection technologies are increasingly demanding high-precision measuring results combined with measuring devices that are becoming increasingly accurate. The demand for greater test stand efficiency means that measurement systems are being commissioned at a rapid rate. A reliable fuel supply for engines with pre-selectable parameters such as fuel temperature and pressure is an essential requirement when it comes to achieving highly accurate measurements on engine test stands.
Special measuring devices are used to record rapidly changing parameter in injection and air injection systems, combustion chambers and load alternation channels. Measuring thermal balances, component temperatures and expansion, harmful exhaust emissions and particle measurements also requires special measuring devices.
