H2DI hydrogen direct injection for commercial vehicle engines

Description of project

In a research and development project funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt with the short name "Combustion process development hydrogen direct injection for commercial vehicle engines", WTZ Roßlau gGmbH will design a novel combustion process. The overall objective of the project is to develop a combustion process for a highly efficient hydrogen combustion engine for the energy, transport and industrial sectors, with emission values in the range of the detection limit (zero-emission vehicle). Particularly in the long-haul transport sector, the zero-emission hydrogen combustion engine represents an environmentally friendly drive technology that can be brought into series production within short development times. The main focus of the development project is the investigation and optimization of hydrogen direct injection or internal engine mixture formation with the aim of achieving high efficiencies and low emissions in the range of the detection limit.
