WTZ Roßlau supports the aid initiative “Ukraine-Hilfe Sachsen-Anhalt”, which was founded by Mr. Mathias Wieczorek and David Strübing in Dessau-Roßlau. This civic initiative works with Caritas International in Ukraine and helps by bringing the relief supplies that are actually needed directly to Kiev, Lviv, and Sokal in a convoy of vans and trucks. With each transport, the helpers of the initiative bring needy and war-wounded people from Ukraine to Germany. This shows how important this support is in such times!

WTZ Roßlau supported the initiative with 1,200 l of diesel for the 40-ton truck. As a result, 30 tons of relief supplies such as tents, clothing, medical syringes, power banks, fire extinguishers, sleeping bags, food, baby food, hygiene items, animal feed, diesel, as well as donations in kind were successfully brought to Sokal. In addition, storage areas are provided by WTZ to store relief supplies for the rescued families.

On 24.06.2022 the next transport of relief goods is planned. The main aim is to bring medicines and medical supplies to Caritas in Lviv.

The main goal of the initiative is to rescue a total of 120 orphans north of Kiev and bring them to pre-booked hospitals in Germany.
