Hydrogen and digitalization for a low-emission future!

Published by

The next step in the energy transition is HyDi.KWK – hydrogen and digitalization for a low-emission future!

Our new HyDi.KWK project was launched back in November 2024.

The aim of this project is to develop sustainable and innovative combined heat and power (CHP) systems that use hydrogen as an alternative energy source.

Together with our project partners, the University of Duisburg-Essen and GWI Essen e.V., we want to enable a flexible, stable and, above all, low-emission energy supply.

❓Why this is important❓

The switch to renewable energies poses challenges for our electricity grids.

For example, weather dependency, to name just one. With HyDi.KWK, we create solutions that combine grid stability and climate neutrality.

❗What do we do at the WTZ Roßlau?

Our focus is on the development of a motorized hashtag#CHP (combined heat and power unit) that runs entirely on hydrogen – a key technology for the future of energy.

💡By the way: A CHP unit is a system that generates electricity and heat at the same time.

So the start has been made.😉

In the future, we will share regular updates on this project here.

This is a project funded by the European Union. Hashtag#efrenrw (European Regional Development Fund in North Rhine-Westphalia)
