The 25th medium-sized company innovation day of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) took place on the 7th June, 2018. It is an annual meeting place for innovative medium-sized companies and representatives from politics, science and economics.

At the anniversary event “In the countryside” in the open air grounds of AiF Projekt GmbH in Berlin-Pankow, more than 350 small and medium-sized businesses, research facilities and cooperative networks from across Germany presented more than 200 results from their research and development projects which were made possible by the support of the BMWi.

The majority of new products, methods and services that were presented here were made successful with the aid of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (Zentralen Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand, ZIM), which has granted over 5.5 billion Euros in subsidies and kick-started more than 40,000 innovative projects in its ten year history.

The Innovation Day has developed into a brand which has considerable appeal to companies and research institutes, politics and management as an exhibition of German SMEs and a window into the successful promotion of innovation.

WTZ Roßlau gGmbH, represented by Mr. Enrico Rothe, Mr. Carsten Tietze and Mr. Johannes Bauer presented the topic of “Development of a highly efficient electric hydroplane” and generated a great deal of awareness and keen interest among the visitors to the WTZ trade fair stand with the exhibition of the prototype.

Yet again, WTZ Roßlau gGmbH presented the development results from successful ZIM projects at the SME Innovation Day and therefore took the special opportunity to discuss topics concerning current innovative development and the challenges of the future with the creative minds from the SMEs.
