Commissioning of the 500 kwp PV plant

On April 18, 2023, our new 500 kwp PV system was finally put into operation. On a normal summer day, it produces an average of 3000 kWh, which covers the entire energy needs of the WTZ and allows half of the energy produced to be fed into the power grid.

The system has been running for just under a month and as of today, an amazing 60,000 kWh have been “harvested”. Converted, this corresponds to a saving of 27 tons of carbon dioxide and reflects the performance of 38 trees on the one hand and the saving of 23 tons of coal on the other.

With the help of the renewable energy produced from the PV system, a foundation stone has been laid for further, technical innovations such as the production of green hydrogen and will be continuously incorporated into the philosophy of WTZ in the future.
