Women and technology – not possible?

She has been part of our team since December 2023 and inspires young talents who are interested in a career in technology with her passion and background.

Jessica’s roots are in Hesse, but she completed her studies here at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen.

She began an internship at the WTZ in mid-2021 during her studies, where she was already involved in a development project.

This initial experience ultimately led to her bachelor’s thesis, in which she investigated the injection of hydrogen into the combustion chamber and intake manifold of an engine.

That’s very technical…😅

But why does a woman choose such a technical profession?

“I was always very good at math and physics,” she says. “My interest in technical devices and my enjoyment of research motivated me to take this path.”

This curiosity and enthusiasm for technology has accompanied her to this day.

“What I like most about my work at the WTZ is the variety. It never gets boring, as we are faced with new problems every day and the learning curve is always very steep,” says Jessica.

Current developments in technology keep us on our toes and constantly offer new conditions.

We face new, exciting challenges here every day. 😉

Jessica’s advice to young people: “Be open to new things and think outside the box. And don’t be afraid to ask for advice.”

Her experience shows that entering the world of technology can be not only fulfilling but also extremely exciting for women.
